Basics of Italian cooking

This is a hands on Banquet. If you don’t like to chop, mix, fry and clean up, then it’s not for you. The Banquet will last 5 weeks.

Each person has to bring his/her own well sharpen chopping knife, chopping board and apron.Each week the ingredients for the recipe will be divided in 7 and at the end of each Banquet, everyone will enjoy the fruit of his/her labour by having a real Banquet together!

Recipe books and pens will be provided, so you can write the recipes down.

There will be a TEST on week 5, were everyone will cook one of the recipes learned during the previous weeks. I will assign everyone a recipe, so you better pay attention, practice every recipe during the week and you will be prepared!

PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT.

After the cooking is all done on week 5, there will be a great Banquet with all the foods you have cooked and learned during the 4 weeks.

Tea & coffee will be provided each week.

WEEK 1- Snitzels or ” Cotolette” in Italian + Italian tomato salad

WEEK 2-Bolognese sauce + learn how to cook pasta “AL DENTE”

WEEK 3-Meat balls or “POLPETTE” in Italian, with tomato sauce + polpette just fried

WEEK 4-Meatloaf or “POLPETTONE” in Italian+ a side dish consisting of peas.

WEEK 5- TEST and FEAST
