DESCRIPTION:Learn the simple principles of reading and interpreting the bib
 le to better understand the intended meaning of any passage of Scripture a
 nd apply it correctly.\n\nBe like the Bereans!\n\nThe apostle Paul praised
  the Jewish Bereans who heard the gospel message and immediately searched 
 the scriptures to see if all Paul said was true. They had open hearts and 
 discerning minds – testing all that they heard.\n\n“Now the Jews in Be
 rea were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica\, for they received 
 the word with great eagerness\, examining the scriptures daily to see whet
 her these things were so” (Acts 17:11)\nWe live in deceptive times. And 
 there is a kaleidoscope of different theological beliefs and perspectives 
 in the Christian church today.\n\nAre you confused with the plethora of co
 nflicting interpretations of the bible? Do you find yourself wondering how
  on earth you can figure out which one is true? Can the bible really be un
 derstood? Or do I need a degree or an ‘expert’ to decipher it?\n\nThe 
 good news…..\n\nGod has revealed so much to mankind through the Scriptur
 es. He intends for us ALL to know Him\, His plans\, and His purposes for t
 his world. What a glorious gift! But it gets even better—we have the aut
 hor of His Word\, the Holy Spirit\, who indwells us and promises to guide 
 us into ALL truth (John 16:13).\n\nThis six-week banquet will give you sim
 ple and practical tools that will equip you to discover God’s truth for 
 yourself. You will find out how to:\n\n 	Carefully observe Scripture to se
 e what it says and develop its context\n 	Accurately interpret the Word to
  understand its meaning\n 	Apply truth to your life so that you may please
  Him\n\nThis ancient\, inductive method of bible interpretation\, known as
  the literal\, historical\, grammatical\, and contextual method\, allows t
 he bible to speak for itself so that you can discern the clear\, timeless 
 meaning of any passage of Scripture.\n\nThis banquet will not tell you wha
 t to think\, but it will give you principles to teach you how to think abo
 ut any passage of the bible\, enabling you to discover truth for yourself\
 , better understand the meaning of any Scripture and test everything you h
 ear from others – just like the Bereans!\nThis will be a relaxed and rel
 ational time together. We will begin each week with food and getting to kn
 ow each other. Whether you are a young Christian or more seasoned in the L
